Te Rama's Writing

Today Te Rama did some 'personal best' writing. Check out all the words he found on his word card or already knew! The children were writing about their favourite age to be.
His story says: I like to be 5 because Mum lets me go to work and Mum lets me go to the shop.

  1. Awesome writing my darling. Mummy loves your story xx Keep up the good work.

    1. We are so proud of him- he is making such great progress.

  2. Great job Te Rama! Your hand writing is very legible (I can read it) and I liked what you wrote about. What type of store is it? Your picture has a lot of detail. Love the blue pants!

Please tell your teacher she has a fantastic blog which I came across researching how to effectively use blogs for literacy development. Hers is one of the best I came across.

Keep up the good work, I will check in time to time to see how your writing is going!

    Take care.

    1. Hi Paul, thank you we much for you feedback on Te Rama's writing, I'm sure he will be thrilled to read it. Thank you also for your positive comments about my blog. It has been my first time blogging this year and I have found it a great way to involve parents and wider family in their child's learning. Have you checked out our photo page here? Writinginspirationauroa This is still in it's early stages, but the children (age 5-6) take photos at home and email a sentence to me about their photos. I sometimes give them specific topics related to their learning. Then at school, they have a whole bank of pictures to draw inspiration from in their classroom writing. The children love to write about things they/ their classmates have taken photos of. They also using literacy skills when emailing me info about their photos, without really knowing it.
